The International Space Station (ISS) orbits our planet 15.5 times each day. Along its travels, the ISS has captured some stunning images showing Earth's sprawling surface from above.

In February, astronauts captured this breath-taking image of Mount Fuji in Japan, looking into the heart of the mountain. At 3,776 metres, Mount Fuji is the country's tallest peak.

The vibrant orange and yellow colours of the Algerian landscape in Illizi, Algeria could be seen from the International Space Station in March.
