Just this Wednesday, February 17, the court ruled that Dante Soiu, Gwyneth Paltrow's alleged stalker since 1999, was not guilty of the charges filed against him.

One of Dante Soiu's outrageous stalking acts of Gwyneth Paltrow was sending her about 500 messages, including pornographic content, for 1 year. This was the incident that alarmed the actress and caused her to file stalking charges against Soiu. During this first lawsuit, Soiu was held not guilty of the stalking charges by reason of insanity with further order to confine him in a mental institution. Afterward, he was arrested again for sending messages anew to the actress within 2009 and 2015. The messages were reportedly letters and 66 packages, among those were jewelry, clothes, and a Weight Watchers cookbook. The reason why he still sent her messages was that he was hoping Gwyneth would consider marrying him because of his new character and approach. (Uhm, okay?)

It was reported that because of the severe stalking, one of which was when Soiu drew out a scalpel to "cut out sin" from Gwyneth Paltrow's body, it caused her to hire attack dogs to serve protection for her family.

He was surprisingly declared innocent this Wednesday by the trial court with no further order to confine him for psychiatric treatment.

But still, despite the glaring stalking facts, the man was acquitted and is now a free man. What's up with that?
