While China devastatingly celebrates dog festival by torturing and eating innocent dogs, Nepal has a totally opposite way of celebrating their dog festival. They do it by pampering their dogs -- even street dogs -- through the giving of delicious foods, marking them with a red dye which symbolizes respect, and putting a garland of fresh flowers around the dog's neck. They put much value in dogs because according to them, these creatures have long served humans with their love, protection, and loyalty without asking for anything in return. It's just proper that we treat dogs this way. Without dogs, the world would be a sad place to live in.
